BVI Rugby

BVI's 1st XV take on the HMS Manchester on Tuesday June 22, 2010 at the AO Shirely ground. Kickoff at 8:00.

The British Virgin Islands has a had some great battles aginst the British Navy on the rugby pitch. The club was founded with a game against Royal Navy engineers who came to BVI to build the original airport and a strong relationaship followed. Every year they come to port in Road Town and field a team aginst the National side.

During the 80's and 90's ships visits were frequent and the lads enjoyed several games a year. In recent times we usually get 2 games annually.

BVI have fared well in the last few years but the Navy always comes out strong and we expect a very tough game.
