Jerome is a complicated man with simple needs, no one understands him but the Spanish ladies. Quiet at times, the lil man can be a force to be reckoned with when it comes to scoializing with the different cultures we meet on our travels.

Jerome Springette

Jerome started training with the BVI RFU in January 2009 and participated in his first ever rugby game 2 months later during the BVI's March tour to Barbados. Despite receiving a brutal clothesline to the face upon entering play and soon discovering the taste of historic rugby mud at the famed Garrison Savannah, Jerome quickly regained confidence and courage and fell in love with the sport of Rugby, and numerous Spanish ladies who he encountered on the tour.

Jerome made his 7's debut and received his first international cap in Guyana in the summer of 2010 particiapting on the wing in the BVI's run at the NACRA 7's Championships. Young blood on the wings and Jeromes innate ability to evade defenses at close quarters has pushed team management to consider Springette for a move to scrum half.

Jerome is also a member of the newly formed Awaraks RFC, a rugby team operating under the union for the purpose of bringing more local youths into the the full contact version of rugby while having fun.
